The Kanuma Autumn Festival is a nationally designated cultural property and is registered as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage along with 33 other festivals throughout Japan. 400 years have passed since the festival began, and visitors can enjoy the “heroic elegance” and “gorgeous splendor” of the Kanuma carved floats as part of a historical picture scroll.
